Terms of Use

ZeroGPT's Terms of Use, including subscription billing, cancellation, refunds, and AI detection disclaimers for ZeroGPT.net.

Last updated: August 27, 2026

1

User Conduct

You agree that you will not use the service provided by ZeroGPT for any unlawful purpose or in any way that breaches these Terms of Use. See "Acceptable Use" below for specific prohibited activities.
2

Acceptable Use

You must not: abuse or overload the service; attempt to bypass rate limits or usage limits; scrape or access non-public portions of the application; reverse engineer the service except where expressly permitted by applicable law; use a stolen or unauthorized payment method; create multiple accounts to evade limits, suspensions, or plan restrictions; attack, disrupt, or attempt unauthorized access to our infrastructure; distribute malware; exploit security vulnerabilities; access the service through automated means outside of an officially supported API; resell or redistribute access to the service other than as permitted by your plan; use the service to unlawfully harm, harass, or defame others; or submit content you do not have the lawful right to submit or process. We reserve the right to apply rate limits, suspend or terminate accounts, investigate suspected abuse, preserve relevant records as evidence, and cooperate with lawful requests from authorities.
3

Account Responsibility

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials, for all activity that occurs under your account, and for keeping your account information accurate. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use of your account. We may suspend an account we reasonably suspect is compromised, fraudulent, abusive, or in violation of these Terms.
4

Subscription and Billing

ZeroGPT offers paid subscription plans in addition to a free plan. Paid plans are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, as selected at checkout) and renew automatically at the price and interval shown at checkout until cancelled. Payments are processed by Stripe, our third-party payment processor; by subscribing, you authorize recurring charges to your chosen payment method until you cancel. You are responsible for keeping your payment details current and valid. Applicable taxes may be added to your charge where required. We may change pricing, features, or usage limits for future billing periods; where required by law, we will provide reasonable notice before such changes take effect for existing subscribers. Changing between plans (for example, switching billing interval) is processed through our checkout/billing system and may result in a new billing cycle, a prorated charge or credit, or cancellation of your prior subscription, depending on how the change is completed — contact support if you have questions about how a specific plan change was billed. If a payment fails, your subscription may be suspended or downgraded and access to paid features restricted until payment is resolved. Disputing a charge with your card issuer (a "chargeback") does not automatically cancel your subscription or excuse amounts otherwise properly owed under these Terms where lawful.
5

Plan Features and Usage Limits

Current pricing, usage allowances, and plan features are displayed on the Pricing page at the time of purchase and may include limits on words, characters, scans, uploaded files, batch operations, history retention, or other resources. Unused monthly allowances do not roll over to the next billing period unless the service explicitly states otherwise for your plan. Attempting to bypass plan limits, or using multiple accounts to obtain allowances beyond what your plan permits, may result in restricted access.
6

Cancellation

You may cancel your paid subscription at any time through the billing/customer portal available in your account. Cancelling stops future automatic renewal — it does not end your current paid billing period early. Your paid plan access normally continues through the end of the period you already paid for, after which your account moves to the Free plan. Cancelling does not automatically refund the current billing period; see "Refund Policy" below. Deleting your account is not necessarily the same as cancelling an active subscription — if you have an active paid subscription, cancel it through the billing portal before deleting your account to avoid continued billing.
7

Refund Policy

Except where required by applicable law, subscription payments to ZeroGPT are non-refundable once charged. We do not offer a money-back guarantee or trial refund period. We do not issue refunds simply because you changed your mind, did not use the service, forgot to cancel before renewal, disagree with or are surprised by a detection result, used only part of a billing period, no longer need the service, or purchased a plan without contacting support first to ask questions. Cancelling stops future renewals but does not refund the current billing period, and we do not provide prorated refunds for unused time except where required by law. Usage already consumed during a billing period is not refundable. We will review requests on a case-by-case basis for circumstances such as a duplicate charge, a verified billing error, a properly reported unauthorized charge, being charged for access that a confirmed ZeroGPT-side failure made technically impossible to use, or a refund required by applicable law. Reviewing a request does not guarantee approval or any specific outcome. To request a review, contact support with your account email, the relevant transaction or payment information, and an explanation of the issue.

AI Detection Disclaimer

ZeroGPT provides model-based analysis intended to assist human review — it is not a definitive determination of authorship. Our AI content detection is probabilistic: it analyzes text for statistical and linguistic patterns associated with AI-generated writing, and results can include false positives and false negatives. Accuracy may vary depending on text length, language, writing style, prior editing, the AI model that may have been used, and other factors, and can change over time as AI writing models and our detection methods evolve. ZeroGPT does not guarantee 100% accuracy, perfect detection, identification of the actual author, identification of the specific AI model used, or that any school, university, employer, publisher, search engine, or other third party will accept our results. You should not rely exclusively on ZeroGPT for high-impact decisions, including academic misconduct proceedings, employment or disciplinary action, legal proceedings, or plagiarism or authorship disputes. You remain responsible for independent review and judgment before acting on any result.
9

Service Availability

We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access to the service. Availability may be affected by maintenance, infrastructure failures, third-party provider issues, network problems, security incidents, model updates, or capacity limitations. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features of the service where legally permitted, including for free-tier functionality. No specific uptime commitment or service-level agreement applies to standard subscriptions unless separately agreed in writing.
10

Third-Party Services

We rely on third-party providers to operate ZeroGPT, including Stripe for payment processing, cloud/infrastructure providers, authentication providers, and analytics providers. These third parties may have their own terms of service and privacy practices, which are not controlled by us. Use of features that rely on a third-party provider is also subject to that provider's own terms where applicable.
11

User Content

You retain ownership of the text and files you submit to ZeroGPT, subject to our Privacy Policy's description of how submitted content is handled. By submitting content, you grant us only the limited rights necessary to process it and provide you the service's functionality. You are responsible for having the lawful right to submit and process any content you provide, and we are not responsible for content submitted in violation of applicable law or third-party rights.
12

Proprietary Rights

ZeroGPT LLC owns or licenses all proprietary rights in the service, including its software, detection models, user interface, documentation, logos, APIs, and other proprietary systems, along with associated patents, copyrights, trademarks, and trade secrets. Purchasing a subscription grants you a limited right to use the service according to these Terms — it does not transfer ownership of any ZeroGPT intellectual property to you.
13

Disclaimer of Warranties

The service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ZeroGPT makes no warranties or representations, express or implied, regarding the service, including as to accuracy, reliability, availability, uninterrupted operation, or fitness for any particular academic, business, or legal purpose, or compatibility with any third-party system.
14

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ZeroGPT LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, business opportunities, or data, arising out of or relating to your use of the service — including claims arising from detection results, false positives or negatives, service interruptions, reliance on third-party outcomes, or academic or employment decisions made based on a result — whether based on contract, tort, strict liability, or any other legal theory, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law.
15

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ZeroGPT LLC and its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and reasonable attorneys' fees arising out of or connected with your use of the service or your violation of these Terms, except to the extent prohibited by applicable law.
16

Payment Disputes and Chargebacks

If you believe you were billed in error, please contact support first so we can review the issue before you escalate a dispute with your bank or card issuer. Your right to dispute a charge with your card issuer or payment provider remains available where applicable, and nothing here waives those rights. However, submitting a knowingly false or fraudulent chargeback for a legitimate charge may result in suspension or termination of your account. When responding to a payment dispute, we may provide Stripe or the relevant payment processor with transaction records, checkout and Terms acceptance records, subscription and cancellation history, usage records, and, where lawfully collected, IP address or device information relevant to the disputed charge.
17

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the service for violations of these Terms, suspected abuse, security threats, fraud, unpaid balances, or unlawful activity. Where you have an active paid subscription, termination for your violation of these Terms does not entitle you to a refund of amounts already paid, except where required by applicable law. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and payment obligations for charges already incurred — will survive.
18

Modifications to the Service

ZeroGPT reserves the right to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, the service or any part of it, with or without notice, subject to the plan-change and pricing-notice terms described above for paid subscribers.
19

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Where required by applicable law, we will provide reasonable notice of material changes. Continued use of the service after an update takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms, to the extent permitted by applicable law; changes will not be applied retroactively to alter the terms of a purchase you already completed in an unfair or deceptive manner.
20

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction where ZeroGPT LLC is organized, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
21

Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and ZeroGPT LLC with respect to the service, and supersede all prior or contemporaneous communications and proposals, whether oral or written.
